Gear and drive specialist Framo Morat will use SPS 2026 in Nuremberg, held on 24–26 November, to present gearbox and drive solutions for humanoid robots, curved stairlifts and intralogistics. According to the company’s announcement of 15 October 2026, the exhibits will be on show in Hall 1, Booth 350.

Most of the solutions on display were developed for specific customers and have already moved into series production, the company says. Interactive demonstrators and functional models will be used to explain the gearbox concepts.

Gearbox options for humanoid robots

Framo Morat points out that fingers, grippers and joints in humanoid robots each place different demands on installation space, reduction ratio and torque. An interactive robot animation on the booth will let visitors select suitable gearbox concepts for these positions and explore them through 3D animations and physical demonstrators. The comparison covers worm gear sets, the company’s proprietary speeroX gearing, customer-specific cycloidal and planetary gearboxes, and multi-stage gearbox combinations.

Four generations of stairlift drives

Framo Morat has been developing and manufacturing drives for curved stairlifts for its long-standing customer TKE for more than 25 years. Four generations of these drives will be compared side by side with their technical specifications. A moving model will show how the main drive, the seat swivel drive and the tilt correction drive work together in a single safe, low-noise and efficient three-axis system.

Drive and steering unit for truck loading

For intralogistics, the company is highlighting a compact, customer-specific drive and steering unit for the automated loading and unloading of trucks. It is designed for loads of up to 900 kg per wheel, with drive torque of up to 375 Nm and steering torque of up to 100 Nm, which, according to the company, enables the vehicle to rotate in place and handle steep ramps. The range also includes wheel hub gearboxes for AGVs and drive systems for warehouse shuttles, lifting modules and industrial trucks.

The booth will also cover manufacturing and assembly, including an assembly made largely of plastic components and a metal coupling housing that undergoes numerous in-house gear-cutting operations. Videos from the German, Polish and Mexican plants will show production technologies, processes and quality control. Visitors can book meetings in advance via an online form.
